Experience and Work Philosophy
I work with businesses to win, resolve, and solve all manner of challenges for my clients. I utilize my diverse experience as a former federal law clerk by representing businesses both nationally and throughout the state of Texas at the trial and appellate level. In addition to my extensive litigation experience, I advise and represent businesses regarding state and federal reporting and compliance matters.
I follow the philosophy that one size fits nobody. This philosophy has allowed me to specialize in providing middle-market businesses the tailored, practical, and efficient advice that is essential to running a successful business. While a litigator at heart, I consider myself an extension of each client’s business and strive to find solutions—even avoiding costly litigation—that make the most sense for each business. I focus not only on the immediate legal issue, but also learn the details and inner workings of each client so I can partner with and ensure success my clients in both the short and long term.
Education
I graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN with a degree in International Studies in 2002. After moving to the Dallas area in 2003 and working as a paralegal, I became interested in studying law and decided to go to law school. I graduated from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University in December 2008 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2009.
Family and Interests
My wife and I have been married for 21 years and have two children. We are proud to call Allen, TX our home. When I’m not working, you can usually find me on a soccer sideline at one of our kids’ games or training and teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I hold a brown belt and have been training since 2018. I love being involved in youth sports and strength training.
